MY HAIR JOURNEY (Part 2)

In March, I dyed my hair again because I couldn’t stand with the yellow tone in my hair. Getting hair color idea from Bobby of iKon on the Killing Me music video, I finally bought a rose-purple hair dye. I’m a bit loyal customer of Miranda, even though the color endurance doesn't stand long enough, but this product is quite adequate.

Two weeks later after I arrived from Japan I dyed my hair into rose-purple

I also dyed my upper hair into black, I didn't like blond hair before. And for this, I'm quite satisfied with the results of this rose-purple hair, even my sister said this color is cooler than ever and almost like the purple hair that Bobby iKon has in the Killing Me music video. YASH! I‘m very happy!

In April, my hair color has washed-out to blonde brown

As I explained in the article "My Hair Journey - Part 1", this Miranda does have good color results but the color endurance doesn't stand long enough.

For medium hair like me, it needed 3 boxes of 30 ml size

As seen from the picture (above), they shouldn't claim "Permanent Hair Color" because their color endurance doesn't even reach one month. They should write "Semi-Permanent Hair Color" or "Temporary Hair Color", well, maybe that's their marketing strategy to reach the market target. For this one, I don't mind the faded color of my hair, better than yellow-blonde like before.

In May, I couldn't take good care of my hair because I had to focus on my final assignment, thesis for my bachelor's degree. I have to graduate this year, that's why I don't tone my hair anymore and let it run naturally, so from May, June, to July my hair stagnates in blonde brown.

In August 2019 I was busy completing my thesis, so I couldn’t treat or toning my hair color and remained to this blonde brown color.

I cut my hair shorter in September

I can't stand with the bottom of my hair that very rough and damaged, with a heavy heart, I decided to cut my hair shorter. The hair color is still like before, but since my thesis was done, I was thinking about applying another color to my hair.

And finally...

I bleached my hair again~~

Still curious about other shades, in the name of totality, I finally took the risk by bleaching my hair again. I deliberately didn't use foils because I think foils cause my hair drier, but apparently I was wrong, I should have used a developer with a small volume, while I am still using to volume 40.

This time I used Blondor's bleaching powder from Wella Professional, on the recommendation of the beauty article. I should have chosen Wella directly as bleaching powder, but I was late getting this information. I think this bleaching powder from Wella is really working twice to peel off the pigment in my hair. You can see from the pictures, my hair immediately becomes yellow-banana tone, even though I only leave it for one hour, but the result is more pigmented.

Less than a week I was toning my hair after bleaching using Colorwear from Alfaparf Milano.

You can see from the picture that I collage to see the difference in the result. Still far from the expectation I had hoped for, whereas I hoped the results were somewhat purplish, but in fact, it returned to the previous color. I think this hair toning product from Alfaparf is not recommended.

Still curious about this hair coloring experiment. I searched for information about purple shampoo, based on Cosmopolitan articles, I was tempted to buy the Nexxus Blonde Assure Purple Shampoo product because this drugstore formula contains keratin protein (to help prevent breakage) and violet pigments (to counteract brassiness), and they said our hair will be left softer, stronger, and brighter.

Unfortunately, I only found this product on eBay and Amazon overseas. For beauty and hair care products it is rather difficult to get in this country, I immediately thought I wanted to live abroad, lol.

Feel hesitant to buy Nexxus from America or the UK for reasons of time and shipping costs that are not cheap, I was looking for a purple shampoo that has been sold in Indonesia, my search stopped at the Purple Shampoo Fanola No Yellow which they said this product came from Italy. Before buying online, I sought reviews from users, most of the reviews were positive so I made up my mind to buy the product.

I had doubts, but if I didn't try, then I never know. After the product arrived at my house, the next day I applied it to my hair.

After washing my hair with Fanola

When other people get dominant ash, I get dominant purple instead, really purple like the title "Purple Shampoo". I think it’s because I use the Fanola mask for more than 15 minutes, but I really like the results instead.

My hair color now

Although the ombre that I have done on my hair doesn’t look natural, I really appreciate my hard work. I am also grateful because many of my friends liking my hair color and they think that I go to the salon, but actually I do it myself, all by myself. Have you ever heard of, "Effort will never betray you?" Well, it's truly proven to me.

But, nothing lasts forever. Just like Miranda, this Fanola faded when I washed it, but this is natural because they do formulate their products like shampoo, not permanent coloring.

At least, their faded colors are still cool, I still like ashy color in my hair. It's just that hair color like this requires us to look good at least we put our makeup properly, if it's not, then our faces look so dull, just like in that picture.

I want to give advice to all of you, NEVER BLEACH YOUR HAIR WITH VOLUME 40, more than twice as much as me, otherwise you will get damaged hair like me. I plan to do keratin hair straightener, I hope it can fix my hair.

After retouch

Faded colors are no longer a big problem because we can re-touch the color by washing with Fanola again. Hairdresser recommends using Fanola at least once a week, not too often because it will make our hair drier.

I was going to look for hair dye, but since I'm already satisfied with the results of Fanola's purple shampoo, I don't think I need a hair dye yet.

Besides I want to try Manic Panic for the next hair dye product. Many people say that the product has a longer-lasting 3-6 months on our hair, so I really want to try it to prove how good the product is.
